Member Assistance program

The GVR Foundation provides financial aid to those GVR members who are struggling financially and are unable to pay their GVR dues. Since 1995, more than 1,000 MAP grants have been awarded to GVR members, thanks in part from GVR members’ generous donations and grants from the White Elephant.

Foundation FUND-Raising

Our main fundraising activity is our bi-monthly Bingo game held at the GVR West Center. During our first year Bingo earnings raised $13,126 for the GVR Member Assistance Program.

The Bingo event is run entirely by volunteers. They set up the equipment, sell game cards and supplies, call the bingo game, pay the prize money, sell refreshments and clean up after the game.

community-wide projects AND GRANTS

The GVR Foundation sponsors projects and gives grants that benefit the entire community Here are some of the grantees in the last few years:
